Agreenium|INRAE
Agreenium|INRAE is the alliance of leading higher education and research institutions in agriculture, food, environment, and global health. It brings together 12 major institutions such as INRAE, AgroParisTech, VetAgro Sup, and CIRAD to strengthen research, education, and innovation in support of sustainable transitions. Our missions
- UX/UI design
- Development
- Hosting and Application Maintenance
- Migration from Drupal 7 to Drupal 10
- Layout Builder Configuration
- Search engine
The challenges of the project
- Clarify the image of the alliance: its role, governance, activities, etc.
- Structure an offer of online resources and services.
- Implement simplified navigation within the current information architecture, which is too dense and not very directive.
- Meet the needs of each target group with real user journeys (students, researchers, alumni, informed general public, journalists, etc.).
An architecture designed for different audiences
We have redefined the site structure to offer clear navigation, segmented by user types, with explicit entry points:
- Who are we?: the Alliance, its missions, its projects.
- Courses and professions: for those seeking career guidance.
- Knowledge and resources: organized by theme and format.
- Research: highlighting the doctoral school and scientific projects.
International: networking and supporting projects beyond borders. - You are...: targeted pathways for each user profile.
A reimagined contribution with Drupal 10
We ensured the migration from Drupal 7 to Drupal 10, thus eliminating technical obstacles and security risks.
With Layout Builder, Agreenium now has modular editorial pages: reusable paragraphs, real-time preview, optimized media management… We also implemented fine-grained role management and workflows, as well as advanced taxonomy for combining content topics, formats, and levels.
A self-training tool for agricultural and food transitions
The “Discovery Courses” are an innovative self-training program. They include: an overall presentation (objectives, prerequisites, target audience, outline), the consultation of selected resources (video, article, podcast), a pedagogical summary, and a knowledge validation quiz. This system fully leverages the advanced features of Drupal and highlights content produced by member institutions.
The training directory
A filterable search engine (field, degree, profile, institution, etc.) leads to detailed records linked to partner institutions. True to our approach, we have chosen open source and performance with the SolR search engine, faceted filters, and Ajax page reloading for greater fluidity.
A very rich Knowledge & Resources space
Curated, qualified, and enriched content (ebooks, videos, magazines, podcasts) accessible according to the user's profile and knowledge level.
