The UX and UI Design Kickoff Workshop
The kickoff meeting, during the design phase, aims to define the various steps of UX and UI Design and thus create a shared vision of the process. It brings together all the stakeholders of the project.
A shared vision of the project
The kickoff meeting for the design phase is the first step in a web project (creation, redesign, or maintenance of a digital product).
It allows you to meet the project's stakeholders and lay its foundations. More specifically, it serves several purposes:
- Understand the goals and the client's expectations regarding user experience and design
- Identify the needs and expectations of the users
- Define the methodology and the schedule for the design phase
At the end of the workshop, we need to have a shared vision, from the UX design phase through to the delivery of the graphic mockups (UI design).
The duration of the kickoff meeting will depend on the project's complexity; generally, plan for 1 to 2 hours.
The steps of the kickoff meeting
This kickoff meeting covers the following points:
Discussion about the project context, your users, your artistic direction, and the workshops or processes already conducted in UX and UI design.
We present our approach and 4-step UX design methodology (understanding, exploration, generation, evaluation), as well as the work stages we will accomplish for your project (benchmarking, personas, user journeys, wireframes, user testing, etc.).
We present to you our three-step interface design approach and methodology (exploration, art direction, deployment), as well as the work stages we will carry out for your project (benchmarking, art direction, responsive mockups, implementation of a design system, etc.).
We present our design tools, including Figma. We also discuss the schedule and set up the first appointments for the workshops.
