The Anact self-diagnostic platform

We created a Drupal 10 self-assessment platform for Anact, the National Agency for the Improvement of Working Conditions. This ambitious project, developed using the Design Sprint method, aims to provide companies with internal evaluation tools, encouraging them to discuss their perspectives and engage in a process of continuous improvement of their practices.

An internal assessment tool for major HR topics

The Anact is a public administrative institution under the supervision of the Ministry of Labour. It oversees a network of 16 regional agencies (ARACT). Their mission: to provide tools to help reconcile quality of work life and performance in SMEs. Led by ARACT Île-de-France, this project aims to provide companies with internal assessment tools on various work-related topics: quality of life, health, disability, hybrid work, etc.

Design sprint, a UX design method to create digital products in 5 days

Our UX designers organized and facilitated a Design Sprint, a week of workshops with ARACT Île-de-France to understand the future users of the platform and their needs, then imagine a product capable of meeting them. Our work resulted in:

User journey segmentation and gamification: the key to engagement?

At the heart of our UX approach: balancing the length of the questionnaire (96 questions) with the user experience. To lighten this tedious process, we have:

  • Segmented the questionnaire into sub-topics.
  • Allowed the diagnostic to be paused and resumed at any time.
  • Implemented gamification features, with a reward system that values the completion of each sub-topic.
  • Added a progress bar to track advancement.
  • Enabled automatic scrolling of questions to avoid scrolling after each answer.
  • Used a single-question format to avoid overloading the reflection process.

Diagnosis result: a teaching approach to facilitate taking action

We chose a graphical presentation of the results, balancing detail and clarity: a chart where the branches represent the sub-themes of the questionnaire, evaluated on a scale of 1 to 4. Additionally, a summary sheet highlights the organization’s strengths and provides recommendations on areas for improvement. These results can then be downloaded or printed.

Encourage stakeholder dialogue and continuous improvement

For greater objectivity and social dialogue, employee and management representatives are encouraged to compare their viewpoints: they can complete the questionnaire and put their results into perspective. Similarly, you can assess your organization’s progress by conducting the assessment at different times.

Anact's opinion on its experience with our team

The bluedrop.fr agency supported us in creating a self-diagnostic platform. To kick off this project, they suggested two days of in-person work, in the form of a "design sprint." This step, which could have been seen as tedious, ultimately proved to be essential. It allowed us to clearly define our needs, gain a shared understanding with the team, and immediately address any constraints. As a result, the platform was developed in a short time without reconsidering the initial mock-ups. Many thanks to the team for this innovative and collaborative experience. The tool is a real success!
