Anact is a public institution working to improve working conditions.
It provides methods and support tools for social dialogue stakeholders and managers of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Anact leads a network of 16 regional agencies (ARACT) as well as departmental structures (ODDS).
A fruitful collaboration that continues
With Anact, we are really getting to know each other well!
We have already been maintaining the site for several years, as well as the website factory for its ARACTs (9 regional sites).
Last year, we also created the espace-odds.fr site, a Drupal resource center aimed at sharing the social dialogue tools produced by Anact’s departmental branches.
We have also just launched the self-diagnostics platform for Anact, allowing small and medium-sized businesses to assess their internal practices and identify areas for improvement. To find out more, you can read our case study.
The result of several successful web collaborations, we have built a trusting relationship for which we are grateful. That’s why we are very pleased to have carried out this redesign of their main website, anact.fr.
Centralization of digital communication, highlighting its services and resources
This redesign project addresses several objectives:
- Centralize the communication and productions of Anact and its regional structures (ARACT), which until now were separate, within the same site.
- Improve the clarity of its service offerings, especially training and support programs.
- Promote its achievements in the regions and its local services.
- Enable the purchase of its paid resources.
- Encourage the use of its digital channels (newsletters, social media, dedicated sites, etc.).
- Showcase the agency’s mission through current projects and achievements.
With this new site, Anact hopes to increase its audience, retain and convert more users. To achieve this, several areas for improvement have been identified, including:
- User journeys that are more tailored and clearer.
- Less dense and better targeted content.
On the agenda: user experience design, Drupal development, site hosting and maintenance
Our support:
- Project management.
- User experience design (UX design).
- Graphic interface design (UI design).
- Front and back-end development, including migrating content from the old site and the Aract sites (9 sites).
- Quality control and website launch.
- Hosting.
- Maintenance.
Beyond the redesign, we also carried out:
- A performance report.
- SEO support (search engine optimization).
- A statement of RGAA compliance for digital accessibility.
- A training session on using the back office to make the Anact teams more autonomous.
- Migration from Google Analytics to Matomo, an open source statistics tracking solution.
A seamless user experience
After a UX benchmark aimed at analyzing the usability and structure of similar websites, we developed the site's site map and various user journeys.
The navigation menu proposed by our UX designers accurately reflects Anact’s goals.
It consists of the following sections:
- News
- Resources: available for free or paid download, with the option to search and sort.
- Services: support and training programs offered by Anact, with the possibility to purchase paid products.
- Themes: content accessible by topic (remote work, management, sexism, absenteeism, etc.).
- Business Cases and Projects
- Deep Dives: for an in-depth approach to work-related topics.
- By Region: dedicated spaces for each region (ARACT) including a presentation, their news, their products, and service offerings.
- Anact: presentation of the organization and its missions.
As in the previous site, we have integrated a member account / client account tab allowing for content downloads, product purchases, access to order history, and management of subscriptions (newsletters).
The site interface complies with the State’s design system
As a public institution, Anact must comply with the State Design System (DSFR), a library of ready-to-use graphic components available to designers and developers to create a unified interface for all sites linked to the government. It also ensures compliance with ergonomic standards, accessibility, and best HTML-CSS practices.
Now familiar with the DSFR, we have created the bluedrop.fr DSFR kit. It consists of a Figma starter theme (our UI design tool) and a Drupal starter theme (our CMS). A starter theme provides a basic structure with pre-set configuration, CSS styles, and preconfigured templates such as the header, footer, navigation, etc. It is built using components defined by the DSFR and allows us to save time on all our DSFR-based projects.
Drupal 10 development with the Drupal Commerce module and integration with Anact's CRM
To enable content purchases, we have integrated the Drupal Commerce module (already used on the previous site). To make the new version compatible with Drupal 10, some adaptation work was nevertheless necessary. Several modifications therefore had to be made following discussions and decisions between our teams and Anact.
Similarly, we have maintained/retained the connection between the site and the Anact CRM (E-deal) so that information collected on the site can be retrieved by the CRM (newsletter subscription, user account creation, completion of certain forms).
Digital accessibility: 98% compliance with the RGAA
As a public institution, Anact is subject to legal obligations regarding accessibility. That’s why we have implemented all the best practices for digital accessibility (heading markup, alternative media descriptions, keyboard navigation, color contrasts, etc.). We have also conducted an RGAA audit. The site received a score of 98% compliance!
A big thank you again to Anact for their trust and collaboration. Congratulations to the teams who completed the project!

Redesign of Anact's main website
The feedback from Anact
I wanted to personally thank you for your support during the transition phase of Anact's new website last Friday! I also want to thank you more generally for your almost daily involvement in the Anact/bluedrop.fr relationship, always responsive, professional, and supportive across our many projects and activities. It's a partnership that has lasted for some time now and seems extremely productive and, above all, high-quality to us!
