Project context

A trusted relationship since 2015

The Lot Department has entrusted bluedrop.fr with the hosting and the preventive, corrective, and evolutionary maintenance of all its Drupal sites.

While some sites are managed by the Department’s internal teams, assisted by a Lead Developer, others are entirely designed and developed by the agency bluedrop.fr. This is the case for the recent launch of the Department's attractiveness service website: Choisir le Lot!

Creation of an attractiveness portal

Faced with an aging population and declining demographics, the Lot has initiated a territorial marketing approach aimed at attracting new residents, assisting them with their relocation, and encouraging young people from the Lot to stay or return to live there.

To achieve this, the Department launched an attractiveness program and created a collective brand called OH MY LOT, entrusting bluedrop.fr with the design and development of an attractiveness portal that meets current territorial marketing requirements and is powered by Drupal 8. This is the choisirlelot.fr project.

UX design conception

The service was delivered in two stages. First, user experience design (UX design). Then, prototype testing before project estimation and technical development. Two full days were dedicated to workshops in Cahors, with department teams and a selection of users. We conducted the following workshops:

The workshops led to the creation of wireframe mockups and a series of user tests, recorded remotely in individual sessions to validate and discuss the latest changes to be made.

The main features

The different user profiles identified have made it possible to highlight the following user journeys:

  • Contact with a direct adviser depending on their project
  • Providing relevant testimonials
  • Map of local services
  • Support for creating or taking over a business
  • Job search (connector to third-party APIs)
  • Housing assistance

Thank you to the Lot Department for their support and trust throughout this project

"I was very satisfied with the solutions implemented, especially to successfully launch a first version of the site that allowed us to align with a communications campaign and a planned presentation at the steering committee. Throughout the site's development, the team, especially Joseph, was very responsive. The site meets our expectations (simple, attractive, and functional) and was very well received by our partners."
