News from our Drupal agency: Third Quarter 2025 Review

Published on 14 October 2025
Between new projects, major launches, open source contributions, and agency life, this quarter has once again been rich in collaborations and learning experiences. Here is a look back at the highlights that have shaped bluedrop.fr in recent months.

New Drupal projects: from site factory, TMA resumption, to university website redesigns

The French Office for Biodiversity (OFB): Redesign of the Drupal platform for the national parks

The French Office for Biodiversity (OFB) entrusted us with a major project: the complete overhaul of the Drupal website factory for France’s national parks, which brings together 10 main sites and a shared inter-parks portal.

The aim: modernize a platform now seen as obsolete and rethink the parks’ digital communication with a clearer, more engaging and mobilizing approach.

Our mission covers the entire production cycle: UX/UI design, specifications, development, deployment, documentation, training, and maintenance. The project is carried out in partnership with experts we have previously worked with:

  • Permeable (UX/UI design): a Marseille-based design agency chosen for its ability to understand and create ergonomic and graphic solutions for the end user.
  • Idéance (accessibility): a consulting and expertise firm in digital accessibility. They ensure RGAA standards are met during scoping, design, development, and technical acceptance phases.
  • Twaino (SEO strategy): an SEO agency working to improve companies’ online visibility.

Campus Condorcet: Redesigning Drupal sites

Campus Condorcet is a French public institution dedicated to the humanities and social sciences. Created to bring together and strengthen research in these fields, its mission is to design, manage, and develop a major campus dedicated to research and education. To this end, it coordinates real estate and land operations essential to its operation. It also supports research by encouraging shared documentary resources, collaboration between institutions, and the dissemination of knowledge.

Campus Condorcet entrusted us with the maintenance and overall redesign of its web presence, including:

  • The institutional website, including merging content from other existing sites.
  • The library website
  • Two event sites
  • An extranet for residents, providing access to services (documentation, room reservations, etc.) and including several web services such as alerts, forms, toolbox, chatbot or FAQ, notification center, etc.

The project also includes comprehensive platform maintenance and the implementation of best practices: accessibility (80%), eco-design, SEO optimization, Matomo tagging plan, CMS training, and content migration.

AIDES: Recovery and hosting of an association website on Drupal

The AIDES association, a historic player in the fight against HIV/AIDS and hepatitis, has renewed its trust in us to ensure the recovery, security, and hosting of its main site aides.org following a cyberattack at the beginning of 2025. Our work involves:

  • Secure hosting and migration in coordination with the current provider.
  • Daily backups and technical monitoring.
  • Regular system audits to prevent vulnerabilities.
  • Drupal optimizations (performance, SEO, accessibility, responsive design).
  • Responsive technical support: 5 days a week, with 7-day emergency on-call coverage for site downtime.

This partnership is part of a long-term collaboration that began in 2012, marked by numerous Drupal projects: maintenance of seronet.info, development of the Spot Longchamp site in Marseille, and the regional deployment of e-prev.

Drupal projects launched this quarter

Elior Group: the integration of sites into the site factory continues!

A longstanding partner, Elior Group is continuing to consolidate its digital ecosystem around its Drupal site factory, designed and maintained by our teams since 2018.

This quarter, five new sites have joined the platform, marking a key step in the group’s brand convergence strategy (including the migration of former WordPress sites): caterplus.co.uk - elior.pt - edwardsandblake.co.uk - taylorshaw.com - derichebourg-multiservices.com.

Each of these sites has its own unique visual identity, while sharing a common technical foundation that ensures consistency, security, and long-term agility.

Babilou Family US: a shared Drupal 10 foundation for American daycare brands

The Babilou Family US group entrusted us with the digital overhaul of several of its daycare brands in the United States.

Objective: to make digital a driver for acquiring families and recruiting talent by establishing a shared, scalable Drupal 10 technical foundation.

To this end, we developed a Drupal 10 Core Model, a shared base of components and configurations, easily replicable and customizable for each brand (fonts, colors, logo). The first site to launch is Little Sprouts; two more will be built from this same foundation.

AFT Transport & Logistics: launch of an HR Drupal platform dedicated to skills and employment

We have designed and launched CRAFT, a Drupal 10 platform dedicated to behavioral skills (soft skills) in the transport and logistics sector. An innovative digital HR tool serving three audiences:

  • Businesses: structure their HR frameworks, recruit more effectively, and manage internal mobility.
  • Candidates: self-assess and compare their profile to jobs in the sector.
  • Employment advisors: facilitate career guidance and professional training.

A great example of a Drupal project serving employment and skills development.

The life of the agency

New Contribution to the Drupal Community

True to our open source commitment and our drive to contribute actively to the Drupal ecosystem, this quarter we released a new Drupal module: Deindex Unpublished Files.

It ensures that files linked to unpublished content or media are not publicly accessible nor indexed by search engines. It works by adding a specific prefix to file URLs or automatically moving them to a private directory.

Already deployed on 16 sites and currently undergoing security coverage, this module demonstrates our ongoing commitment to sharing our solutions and strengthening the security of the Drupal ecosystem.

Acquia Drupal Certification for Georges

Congratulations to Georges, our Drupal developer, who has brilliantly earned his certification from the Acquia program! An international recognition that confirms his technical skills and commitment to the Drupal community.

New premises in Marseille

Our agency is also growing physically: we have expanded our Marseille offices by taking over the premises of our former next-door neighbors.

After a few weeks of renovations, the team has made this new, more spacious and friendly space its own, adding a lounge, a kitchen, meeting rooms, and a nap area! We can’t wait to welcome you there soon, for a coffee, a Drupal project, or both!

The contribution guide: improving the back-office experience for webmasters

For several months now, our teams have been working tirelessly to create a contribution guide designed to support our clients in getting to grips with the Drupal back offices we deliver. Our goal: to make you 100% autonomous in the daily management of your sites.

This guide combines a clear, illustrated step-by-step document as well as a series of video tutorials gradually published on our dedicated YouTube playlist.

A living, evolving resource, designed to simplify the contribution experience and help every Drupal user deepen their skills.

Speaking engagement: AI and its impacts on the web, the planet, and citizens

In our latest opinion piece, we explore an essential question: With the rise of artificial intelligence, what does the future hold for websites, information diversity, and our digital footprint?

Our belief: AI can be a tremendous driver, as long as it remains a tool that serves meaning: making information more accessible, more relevant, and more human. The real question is not "Should we use AI?", but "Where and how should we use it so that it's worthwhile?" Behind every use lies a collective choice: to preserve a free, diverse, and sustainable web.
