Kick-off meeting at the Sorbonne Nouvelle premises
A spring brimming with projects, launches, and great contributions to the Drupal community. Join us for a look back at this dynamic and promising second quarter!

New Drupal projects: prestigious institutions trust us

Institute of Research for Development (IRD)

Present in over 50 countries, the IRD is a major player in international scientific research, committed to fighting inequality, climate change, and for biodiversity. We are supporting the institute in the UX/UI redesign of the site ird.fr. Audit, UX and UI design, specifications: a comprehensive mission to highlight their global commitment and strengthen their digital impact.

Normandy Region: Event Website for the Millennium of William the Conqueror

In 2027, Normandy will celebrate the thousandth anniversary of the birth of William the Conqueror. This event will honor Norman heritage throughout the entire region. With this in mind, we have started creating a dedicated website for these celebrations: UX/UI design, development, and upcoming launch for a site that will bring history to life… digitally!

Loiret Department: Maintenance and Overhaul of an Ambitious Website Factory

Loiret, already equipped with a multi-site Drupal 10 platform for its sites related to tourism, events, and administrative missions, has entrusted us with the application management of its website factory. The objectives of this mission are multiple: improving accessibility of the sites with a target of at least 60% RGAA compliance, strengthening eco-design according to RGESN standards, evolving the interface to a more modern atomic design, and finally, offering internal teams greater autonomy thanks to a redesigned, clearer and more intuitive back office.

Sorbonne Nouvelle: Towards a University Website Factory

The Sorbonne Nouvelle University is modernizing its digital ecosystem. Together, we are launching the creation of a Drupal website factory to allow various entities (units, laboratories, libraries...) to deploy their own site while benefiting from a shared technical and graphic base. A structuring project with clear objectives: streamlining, modernization, valorization.

Recent deployments

City of Toulon and Toulon Provence Méditerranée Metropolitan Area

The new versions of the toulon.fr and metropoletpm.fr websites are online! Both platforms have undergone extensive work on accessibility, with a comprehensive audit and technical optimizations carried out in collaboration with a specialized partner. A case study is being prepared to provide a detailed look at this demanding and exemplary process. Now begins a phase of ongoing maintenance!

Elior Group: a fully powered site factory

Since 2018, we have been working with Elior Group, a large French company specializing in contract catering and services for businesses and local authorities. We administer and maintain its multi-site platform and have worked on redesigning and integrating its various installation profiles. This quarter, Elior Group is renewing its trust in us by migrating the sites of its brands (including its former WordPress sites) into the Drupal multi-site platform we have designed. As a result this quarter, 7 new sites with varied visual identities but sharing a common, high-performing, and scalable technical foundation: elioratwork.co.uk - elior-schools.com - bienvenue-re-set.com - elior-sante.fr - elior-collegiatedining.com - elior-collegiatedining.com - caterplus.co.uk.

Contributions to the Drupal community

If you know us at all, you know how much the Drupal community is a part of our DNA. Historically committed, we are an Acquia partner, several team members are certified and we actively participate whenever we can (attending events, sharing best practices, module patches, etc.). This second quarter was no exception!

The Page Cache Exclusion module continues to be successful, with 182 active installations and expanded documentation this quarter. It’s our most popular module to date!

The life of the agency

A new lead UX designer joins the team

Welcome to Estelle, who is joining the design division as lead UX. With over 10 years of experience, she will strengthen our expertise in UX strategy and user-centered design. Her arrival marks a new turning point for our most complex projects.

We are joining the laboucle.fr network

In the digital world, no one succeeds alone, especially as projects become more complex, more cross-disciplinary, more demanding. By joining laboucle.fr, a network of agencies who are experts in their fields (branding, SEO, UX, content production, development, etc.), we are surrounding ourselves with partners who share our rigor and our vision of the web: useful, open, responsible.

This collective allows us to approach more comprehensive, more coherent projects, with compatible methods, high standards, and mutual trust.

Speaking out: Open source, sovereignty, and Big Tech… what if Europe took back control?

In this op-ed, we focused on an essential question: how can European public actors maintain control over their information systems, even as the GAFAM companies hold a (too?) dominant position?

Our belief: open source is a key lever for digital sovereignty. But for it to fulfill its promise, it must be given the means to exist: clear governance, pooling of resources, funding for communities, appropriate recruitment, and so on.

As always, you can read it on our blog: “Open Source, sovereignty and security: Europe facing the digital challenge of the GAFAM”.

A rich quarter and exciting challenges ahead

From scientific research to education, including culture and public services, we are proud to support so many committed partners with Drupal. We sincerely thank them for the trust they place in us.

Summer promises to be a busy one... but we're preparing a few surprises for you for the new school year.
