News from our Drupal agency in the last quarter of 2025 and Happy New Year

Published on 13 January 2026
The end of the year was a busy time at bluedrop.fr! Between new projects, launches, open source contributions, and an acceleration of our work around AI and Drupal industrialization, this final quarter of 2025 truly reflects our spirit of innovation. Let’s look back at the highlights from recent months.

New projects

We wrapped up 2025 with several new projects.

CNAM – High Council of Nomenclatures

We have started the resumption of maintenance and the upgrade to Drupal 10 of the High Council of Nomenclatures website, managed by the
National Health Insurance Fund (CNAM). Its role is to maintain the Common Classification of Medical Procedures (CCAM).

Our objective: to secure, sustain, and modernize the existing platform while ensuring uninterrupted service.

INRAE Avignon – ESV Platform

We are also supporting INRAE Avignon with the ESV platform, which is responsible for improving plant health monitoring in France, with work focused on a complete front-end overhaul.

This is an ongoing collaboration between INRAE and our teams, as the institute already entrusted us last year with the overhaul of the site https://www.agreenium.fr/.

Uploads & deliveries

IRD.fr – Redesign of UX and UI

This quarter saw the delivery of the UX and UI design mockups for the overhaul of the Institut de recherche pour le développement (IRD.fr) website. Extensive work was carried out on user journeys, information hierarchy, and graphic consistency, conducted in close collaboration with IRD teams to lay solid foundations before the development phase.

STEF Group – Biathlon Site

This quarter, we delivered the Biathlon STEF site for the STEF Group. Designed to showcase the sports partnership with the French Biathlon Team, the site also highlights the group's strong commitments to the environment and responsibility.

This project continues our collaboration with STEF and provided an opportunity to further develop and test our in-house Drupal starter. Used as the foundation for this site, it enabled us to optimize the contributor experience—notably thanks to Layout Builder—and to validate a multi-site approach: this will allow the STEF Group to quickly roll out other sites based on the same model while maintaining consistency, performance, and ease of maintenance.

Drupal & open source contributions

True to our Drupal commitment, we took advantage of the end-of-year lull to speed up our contributions within the community.

We have become co-maintainers of the Alter Entity Autocomplete module

The Alter Entity Autocomplete module extends the autocomplete behavior of entity reference fields in Drupal. Specifically, it allows contributors to directly enter an ID, email address, URL, or path alias instead of relying solely on the default suggestion list. This is very useful for speeding up editorial workflows and making it easier to reference existing content, especially on sites rich in relationships between entities (content, users, taxonomies).

We updated the HAL Publications module

The HAL Publications module is used to integrate and display publications from HAL, the open archive dedicated to sharing scientific works. This contribution improves the user experience, integration, and reliability of the module for academic or institutional sites that publish bibliographic references from this repository.

We created the Rendered Entity List Formatter module

The Rendered Entity List Formatter module offers a more accessible formatting option for entity reference fields in Drupal content displays. Instead of showing a raw list or a format that’s hard to style, it wraps the referenced entities in an HTML structure that follows best accessibility practices, while keeping the option to choose a display mode.

Accelerating innovation at bluedrop.fr

In the same vein, we have also accelerated our internal R&D with the aim of improving our processes and increasing our performance.

The bluedrop.fr starter continues to evolve

Our in-house Drupal starter is moving forward with the addition of new reusable components and ready-to-use recipes to speed up our clients’ projects: enhanced editorial components, navigation patterns, front-end optimizations, and best practices in architecture. A solid foundation to industrialize your projects while ensuring quality and consistency.

We've even created a tutorial to help our clients use the starter on a daily basis!

Automating Drupal updates with AI

We have developed an AI agent made with n8n, capable of automatically performing minor Drupal updates.
This agent analyzes the project, runs the updates, checks dependencies, and reduces the time spent on recurring tasks.

AI & performance monitoring

We have set up an AI-driven solution dedicated to tracking and analyzing the resource consumption of our clients’ websites (bandwidth, RAM, GPU). Deployed on our shared hosting infrastructure, it collects and interprets usage data to produce clear, actionable weekly consumption reports.
Goal: provide better insight into actual usage and anticipate scaling needs.

From Figma to Twig & CSS with AI

Finally, we tested an AI agent integrated into the Cursor IDE, allowing us to directly convert our Figma components to Twig and CSS.
Result: clean, functional CSS and a considerable time savings on front-end integration. A promising building block to improve our production workflow!

Highlights of the agency

  • DrupalCamp: The next DrupalCamp has just been announced! It will take place in Grenoble, from April 9th to 11th! Of course, we will be there and probably, once again, event sponsors to support the Drupal community.
  • Web Project Management Certification: Congratulations to Raynald, our project manager, who obtained his Opquast certification, further strengthening our commitment to web quality. He scored 808 points, confirming an "Advanced" level, which means an excellent knowledge of web quality best practices and the associated terminology.
  • Agency life, festive spirit: to end on a high note, here’s a short look back in pictures at the year-end celebrations at the Beirut office for some friendly team moments.

What do we wish for ourselves in 2026?

As we turn the page on 2025, we would like to take this opportunity to extend our best wishes to all our clients, partners, and the Drupal community. For 2026, we wish for all of us to continue building useful, sustainable, and committed projects, to strengthen long-term relationships based on trust, and to pursue our efforts around innovation, open source, and web quality. We look forward to taking on new challenges alongside you and turning your digital goals into real successes together. Wishing everyone an excellent 2026!
