The Center for Research and Studies on Qualifications is a French public administrative institution that conducts studies in the fields of the labor market, qualifications, and vocational training. In its response to the public tender, the agency bluedrop.fr proposed using the Drupal 8 CMS, the search engine provided by Apache SolR, while ensuring the migration of content from the old EZPublish site to Drupal.

The project in a few words

Cereq had an EZPublish website. The agency bluedrop.fr proposed, in their response to the public tender, to use the Drupal 8 CMS and the search engine offered by Apache SolR, while ensuring the migration of content from the old EZPublish site to Drupal. This ambitious redesign project required many months of collaborative work and involved all the design services of our agency.

Objectives:

  • Cereq chose to keep its graphic identity. The UX and UI design process had to be carried out with this constraint in mind: modernize and improve without revolutionizing.
  • Before the redesign, the Cereq website already contained high-quality and abundant content. One of the main challenges was to focus efforts on search capabilities to speed up access to the content.
  • The contract imposed significant accessibility requirements.
  • The need for research regarding the user experience (UX) was stated—a particular focus was placed on conducting these workshops.

UX Design

  • Workshop User Journeys;
  • Workshop Design Studio (prototyping);
  • Workshop User Testing;
  • Workshop focused on the use of the search engine.

Development with Drupal 9

The development adhered to the commitment to the design philosophy by minimizing custom development as much as possible. Most of the configuration work focused on paragraphs, since the site has 37 types of paragraphs, making it a real library of blocks.

Feedback on the launch of the redesigned cereq.fr website

For more information, you can consult our blog article on the subject.

Thank you to the Céreq for their very gratifying testimony

"I'm looking, I'm looking for a flaw, a problem, someone incompetent or unpleasant, but no, I can't find any... We worked for a year on this complex project, and the result lives up to our expectations. Sensitive points were carefully considered together in workshops. I appreciated their attentiveness, their patience, their courtesy and their efficiency. Having worked with several web agencies, I can say that this was truly the service provider we needed!"
